  • What do I do when my child needs to take a different bus after school?

    Posted by:

Please follow these steps if you are requesting your child ride a different bus in the afternoon:

    1. The day prior to the student needing to take a different afternoon bus, the student must bring a note from a parent/guardian to the Administrative Office requesting the change in their afternoon bus service.
    2. The Administrative Office will contact the bus company (Riteway Bus Company) to verify that space is available for the student to ride the alternate bus.
    3. After confirmation from Riteway Bus Company is received, a special bus pass will be issued to the student. When boarding the alternate bus route, the student should present the pass to the bus driver.

Please plan accordingly, as last minute requests may not be able to be fulfilled.

  • Can my child walk or ride a bike to and from school?

    Posted by:

Skateboards, bicycles and in-line skates are prohibited in Houle Circle during the school day. Prohibiting skateboards, bicycles and in-line skates on school grounds is designed to prevent accidents occurring and problems associated with storage, theft and inappropriate use. Student bikes may be stored at the edge of campus at either the bike corrals across from the District Office or at the Stadium Concession Stand (not the fence).  Bicycles must be locked when using either of the corrals provided.  Exceptions may be made under staff supervision for special events and/or extra-curricular activities.

  • Can my child use a cell phone or IPod at school?

    Posted by:

Students may not use their cell phone to call or text during the school day unless given specific permission by a staff member. During the school day, we recommend that all cell phones be stored in the student’s locker. Students are encouraged not to bring iPods, MP3 players, CD players, cameras or other portable electronic equipment to school because of distractions created and the possibility of loss or damage to the equipment. If students are using their cell phone or IPod without permission from a staff member, it may be confiscated until the end of the day. Additionally, parents may be asked to pick up the devices at the school office.
